The World Health Organization (WHO) has verified 108 attacks on health care in Ukraine as of Monday in which 73 people have died and 51 have been injured. That is 19 more attacks on health facilities than the already deadly toll of 91 attacks that had been verified by WHO as of early Friday afternoon, and as reported at a press conference by WHO’s Regional Director Hans Kluge in Lviv.

Meanwhile, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has recorded 1,793 civilian deaths and 2,439 injuries since the start of the Russian invasion on 24 February and Sunday.

Most of the civilian casualties have been caused by “explosive weapons with a wide impact area”, including shelling from heavy artillery and rocket, missile and air strikes.

“OHCHR believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration,” according to a statement from the office.

“This concerns, for example, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Izium (Kharkiv region), Popasna (Luhansk region), and Borodianka (Kyiv region), where there are allegations of numerous civilian casualties. These figures are being further corroborated and are not included in the above statistics.”

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, 176 children had been killed and at least 336 injured as of Sunday.
